“In the beginning, GOD created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of GOD was hovering over the face of the waters.” – Genesis 1: Verse 1 and 2
“When you send out your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.” – Psalm 104: 30
When attempting to understand what allows for creation to exist and for everything to function in tandem, there are multiple questions that arise. We are reminded that the Spirit of the LORD is able to create and give life to all creation. Any form of renovation or creation stems from the Spirit of GOD. There is nothing that can be created that has not been from the Spirit of GOD.
GOD is able to create and allow for creation to exist. The laws of physics, chemistry, and biology attest to the greatness that exist in our GOD and allow us to understand that everything has a specific order from which existence is able to continue. He determines the times and seasons and allows for each specific purpose to be accomplished according to His will. There exists greatness and wonder so unsearchable that the human mind is incapable of understanding the complexities that exist.
With understanding and reverence, we are to worship the LORD of creation and of salvation. The LORD who created the Heavens and the earth, who is able to provide our needs. Through the LORD we are able to see that there are greater complexities that exist, and that the LORD allows us to understand these complexities if we are humble enough to walk through His commandments and guidance.
We are reminded that our GOD is a GOD of order and allows us to know this through His scriptures. There is no small detail that is done randomly or done without a purpose. Everything has a specific designation and purpose. When we read Genesis’ first chapter, we begin to see that everything has a purpose and is established within the confines of GOD’s specifications. In the beginning, there was no form, but GOD gave the earth and everything else a specific form and designation. If creation has a specific designation, so do the individuals that exist within it. We are reminded that the LORD establishes understanding, order, and logic within His scriptures and there is nothing done that is not useful for His purpose and for the glorification of His name. Praise the LORD!
