David describes the basis of his worship for the LORD through Psalm 69. He describes the importance of being able to offer prayer to the LORD and this allows the LORD to hear him and protect him from his adversaries. GOD’s faithfulness is seen throughout the Holy Bible for those who put their trust in Him. The faithfulness of GOD is usually connected to the steadfast love that He has for us even when we sin or when we make decisions that are not faithful to GOD. However, when we choose to embrace His commandments and His faith, we are able to be connected with the steadfast love of the LORD which is infinite.

David describes that along with prayer, he makes sure to praise the LORD and sing praises. David makes sure to give thanks to the LORD for everything that the LORD has done for him. The praises to the LORD are natural since we were made to praise the LORD. There were multiple instances in the Holy Bible when King David made sure to sing and play the lyre in praise of the LORD. We should follow a similar example in making sure that we praise the LORD regardless of the circumstances.

David’s hope was steadfast in the LORD. We can follow a similar example by making sure that we continue following what the LORD instructs us and make sure to continue praising Him through it all. The LORD was able to guide David through the difficulties and direct the steps of the faithful. There are multiple example of the faithful being able to make their way to a secure path created by the LORD.
