Sing

“But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning, For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you O GOD, are my fortress, the GOD who shows me steadfast love.” – Psalm 59: 16-17

The LORD is able to provide for us when we might think that we have nothing left. Through the LORD, we are able to find strength that is difficult to find elsewhere. Here we have a Psalm that states the way that King David found strength. His strength comes from the LORD. GOD is a fortress, strength, and steadfast love and shows us each and every day we chose to do His will.

As believers we are able to sing to the joys of the LORD and strength that He gives us. While we may be able to act like this strength is innate, it is actually given by the LORD. For this and for so much more, we are able to give praise to the LORD who gives us what we need. We are able to continue with the strength that He provides.

How do we show GOD the gratitude that we acknowledge his gifts of strength, fortitude, and love? We praise. He give thanks. We bless the name of the LORD. We make sure to show that every good thing that we have is a gift from the LORD.
